Mr. Scriven has represented private and public employers since the mid-1970s. He has had primary responsibility for hundreds of labor negotiations and grievance arbitrations. He has also handled numerous administrative proceedings, such as National Labor Relations Board and State Employment Relations Board proceedings as well as equal employment opportunity claims. Unions with which he has bargained include the Ohio Education Association, Ohio Federation of Teachers, Ohio Association of Public School Employees, Teamsters, Operating Engineers, Machinists, Steelworkers, Auto Workers, Electrical Workers, and Pottery Workers. He also handles school territorial transfer cases.
Mr. Scriven is a 1969 summa cum laude graduate of Andrews University. He received his juris doctorate with honors at The Tulane University School of Law in 1974, where he was an articles editor of the Tulane Law Review. His practice is devoted to labor relations in the public and private sectors and education law.
